Third chance for stars of future!

5 months ago By David Watters

Coaches at the EVO-STIK League's NPLFA clubs are looking forward to running the rule over youngsters hoping to join their 2018-19 intake at half-term trials next week.

Belper Town, Carlton Town, Leek Town, Matlock Town, Mickleover Sports, Mossley, Ossett United, Radcliffe FC, Sutton Coldfield Town and Witton Albion are all offering current Year 11 and 12 students a third chance to showcase their talents and win a place at the NPL Football Academy from September 2018.

To attend the ‘May Half Term Trials’, potential students must register their details at nplfa.co.uk before receiving confirmation and further information from the club they've chosen in the league-wide academy.

The NPLFA was founded with the backing of the Football Association at five pilot clubs in September 2014 to provide career pathways into the football industry with youngsters studying on two year BTEC courses.

Still the only league-wide academy in English football combining sport with education and now expanded to 12 members clubs, the NPLFA welcomed its fourth intake of students this season while launching a new higher education partnership with Loughborough University so students could continue their studies to degree level within the Northern Premier League.
