Supporters from all quarters line up!

EVO-STIK League Marine were getting backing from all quarters ahead of their big Buildbase FA Trophy tie at Dover Athletic on Saturday.

Excited staff at Marine Travel, the EVO-STIK Premier Division club's stadium sponsors, will be at the National League Dover's Crabble home for the second round clash after tweeting an image of themselves in a good luck message. Despite being founded in Crosby and being long-standing supporters, the sponsors won't have far to go after moving offices to Canterbury in Kent in recent years!

Mariners boss Tommy Lawson was a great supporter of the Alfie Lund Fund when he was at Skelmersdale United and Mark Lund, the father of the young Skem fan who won the Non-League Paper's Unsung Hero accolade for his fundraising work, also tweeted his support earlier in the week as the club prepared to fly the Northern Premier League's flag in Non-League's showpiece cup competition alongside Stourbridge, Warrington and Workington.

Like Skem and many other EVO-STIK League clubs, the Mariners have been consistent backers of Alfie and his family who tweeted their best wishes to the underdogs alongside many more on social media from fans around the country in the run-up to their long trip south.

@alfielundfund tweeted: "We just want to wish @MarineAFC @msacommittee @MarineUltras1 @MarineFCAdam @CrosenderWay all the best for saturday bit early but with Alfie in Alder Hey just taking this moment, fantastic club and supporters that have backed us and the management all the best from Alfie."

Supporters of the Burscough-based Alfie Lund Fund have already raised more than £20,000 for the nine-year-old who sufferers from MECP2 Duplication syndrome, which means he cannot walk or talk and has profound and complex learning difficulties. To raise awareness of his battle against the rare disease, Alfie is attempting to create the longest chain of football memorabilia in the world and since launching his record breaking attempt five years ago has been flooded with donated scarves, football shirts and flags from all over the globe.
