Loughborough Dynamo’s new first team coach Lee Morris has been hitting airwaves on BBC Radio Leicester's Non-League Show talking about his new role at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Nanpantan Sports Ground.

The 33-year-old striker was a £3m signing for then Premier League Derby County in 1999 and arrived in October to work with manager Tommy Brookbanks. At First Division South rivals Leek last year, Morris was top scorer before leaving.

The striker’s lengthy playing career kicked off at Sheffield United. He went on to play for Derby, Leicester City, Yeovil Town, Burton, Hereford United, Kidderminster Harriers, Solihull Moors, Leek Town and Eastwood, where he got his first taste of coaching.

During Tuesday’s early evening show Morris was quizzed on his role at Dynamo as well as Derby County where he coaches the Under 15 squad. As a former Leicester City player from 2004 to the end of the 2005-06 season, he was also asked if he still looked out for his old club’s results. Happily for many of the station’s listeners no doubt, he was confirmed he does.
