In 2022, Florence announced a Series B funding round totalling $35 million (£28.5 million) to invest in product expansion in the UK and other international markets. The platform is a resource for the UK’s care professionals and provides them with the skills, community and tools it needs to thrive in adult social care. More than 6 millions courses globally have been taken as people look to upskill themselves and make a firm difference in the industry. In addition, Florence Academy supports hundreds of care homes across the UK, in keeping with their care staff compliant with accredited training.

Dr. Charles Armitage, Former NHS Doctor and CEO and co-founder of Florence, commented: “At Florence, we’re committed to delivering the highest quality care and support, now and in the future. To have been featured as part of the2023 edition of The Sunday Times 100 is an important professional stamp of approval and one we are incredibly proud of. The news marks another important milestone in the growth of our company and the role we play in helping solve the staffing crisis in the healthcare industry. To be included on this list, next to such prestigious company is, I believe, testament to the work we are doing to support the nation’s care workers and the way we provide the building blocks for each stage in an individual’s learning and development.”
