Draw kicks off cup competition!

2 years ago By David Watters

The EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's clubs are looking forward to kicking off in the Integro League Challenge Cup after the draw was made for the early rounds of the 2016-16-17 competition.

Lifted by Marine in April for a record fourth time after their 2-1 win over Scarborough Athletic, this season's competition kicks off with four preliminary round ties in the week commencing 12 September - Brighouse Town versus Shaw Lane, Hyde versus Glossop North End, Market Drayton Town versus Romulus and Prescot Cables versus Kendal Town.

Clubs who make it through the early rounds will collect £250 for reaching the quarter-finals and £500 for making the semi-finalists. Like 2016 winners Marine, pictured, next April's winners will collect £2000 with the losing finalists banking £1000. If the scores are level in ties after 90 minutes, penalties will decide the result.
