The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League is pleased to announce the appointment of a new sponsor.
Doodson Sport, who is a specialist sports insurance broker, is supporting the League Challenge Cup for the next two seasons (2011-2013). In a five-figure deal, the competition has been re-branded as The Doodson Sport Cup with immediate effect.
League chairman Mark Harris was delighted with the coup. “To attract a name of the calibre of Doodson Sport is a huge boost to the league and its clubs. With the President’s Cup no longer in action, the League Cup is our club’s sole opportunity for silverware outside of the FA Cup, FA Trophy and county cup competitions. The sponsorship from Doodson Sport will enable us to develop the competition more effectively.
Doodson Sport, which is part of the Doodson Broking Group, was appointed the NPL’s new insurance broker during the summer following a competitive tender process. Doodson Sport provide liability cover including player-to-player as part of their bespoke football insurance cover for member clubs. Other areas include protection of club assets and revenue.
In response to the growing need of the sport community, Doodson Sport provide a unique claims and risk management programme which is an integral part of their service to their sport clients.
Doodson Sport Director, Ian Hesselden, said “We’re delighted to be working closely with the league and its clubs. For us, sponsoring the League Cup is a natural extension of our relationship and fits perfectly with our philosophy of investing back into the sports we work with.
Doodson Broking Group has more than 100 employees based in seven offices across the UK and USA, meaning that it can provide an excellent round-the clock service and advice to its clients seven days a week.
Doodson Sport joins a nine-strong roster of league sponsors and partners to the Evo-Stik NPL including Errea, the Frank Whittle Partnership, Media Village, Abacus Lighting and main sponsors Evo-Stik.
