Cooke is a Gladiator

Matlock Town have signed defender Jordon Cooke from Stamford.

Cooke, 22, can play at right-back or centre-back and has previously played for Buxton.

He played four times for North Ferriby United in the National League in 2016, and has previously had spells with Scunthorpe United, Doncaster Rovers and Lincoln City.

The former Daniels man becomes new manager Steve Kittrick’s fifth signing as Gladiators boss.
